Dark Tide Over Cormyr
While within the gauntlet set by the Gnome magician Goldweaver while attempting to find an antidote to the Abraxus poisoning, Alwyn’s sticky fingers betrayed him. Alwyn had previously pickpocketed Dhurst upon first meeting him and robbed the lad of a bag given to him in the last moments with his father. Unfortunately for Alwyn, he hadn’t even realized he had done it. Upon realizing his mistake, he had been intending on finding a way to sneak them back into Dhurst’s possession without being caught. As the group tumbled through a portal Alwyn made his move. At the same moment, Dhurst attempted to search Alwyn, as he had grown suspicious.
The tumble ended in disaster! Amidst the confusion Alwyn slipped up and fumbled the bag basically into the hands of Dhurst in what must be considered the most obvious attempt at a reverse pickpocket ever. Dhurst caught him of course, but at the end of the tumble Alwyn’s the bag had been ripped open and six unique gems spilled out. The gems all had a unique cut and shape, unlike anything common or uncommon seen throughout the realm.
No one will forget the fight and argument that ensued. With Andolar completely losing it, this latest act the icing on the cake of what had become a rather tedious adventure with his clepto friend. Amidst the argument, Blu had turned his witchcraft to good use and established Alwyn’s lack of knowledge to the theft. The exact purpose of the jewels, and whatever else the bag contained is still a mystery to the party as a whole.
